Letters to the press

Write to Wren

A count that will not come out, a round that reads two ways, a plate you would like set, a photograph of the thing you made from one — every letter is read by the person who set the type.

If it is about a plate

Errata are answered first. Three things make one checkable in a single sitting:

  1. The plate — its number or its title. Both are at the top of every leaf.
  2. The round, and the count you got. “Round 6 gives me 26, the plate says 28.”
  3. Your hook and yarn, if they differ from the plate's. Tension explains more than it ought to.

With those, the round is re-worked at the bench and you get an answer. If the plate was wrong, the correction goes on the errata with the date, and you are told so.

The address

hello@crochetaddiction.com. It is the only channel: no telephone, no postal address, no messaging apps. A reply usually takes two or three days; a letter that says stuck mid-round in the subject jumps the queue.

Nothing you send is added to any list. The next-leaf letter has its own box, below, and only an address typed into that box is kept.

Or draft it here

This opens the letter in your own email program with the subject set. Nothing is sent from this page and nothing is stored on it.

So the reply can reach you. Not kept, not listed.

Nothing is submitted to this website. The privacy leaf has the whole account.

The next leaf

One letter each time a new plate is set — the plate, its count, nothing else. Stop it with one click.
